Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

Welcome

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, memberships and activities organised by Peak Outdoor Community. By booking an event or purchasing a membership, you agree to the following terms.

Event Bookings

All event bookings are made through Eventbrite unless otherwise stated.

Please ensure you have read the event description carefully before booking, including details about fitness requirements, equipment and difficulty.

Payment & Refunds

Day Events

Payments for guided walks, navigation courses and other day events are non-refundable.

If you're no longer able to attend, you may sell your place privately (for example via the Peak Outdoor Community WhatsApp group), subject to our approval. Please notify us by email once the transfer has been agreed so we can update our attendee list.

UK Weekenders & International Trips

A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance must be paid by the advertised deadline. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

Once full payment has been made, refunds cannot be offered if you cancel due to personal circumstances.

Where a trip has sold out, you may request permission to sell your place to another suitable participant. Any transfer must be approved by Peak Outdoor Community before it is confirmed.

Sponsored Community Walks

Sponsored Community Walks are free to attend thanks to the support of our brand partners.

If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list.

Changes & Cancellations

The safety of our participants will always come first.

Due to weather, environmental conditions or other safety considerations, we may need to alter routes, itineraries, accommodation or activities.

If Peak Outdoor Community postpones an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control—including severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies or other force majeure events—you'll be offered either:

  • a transfer to an alternative date or event (where available), or

  • a voucher for the value of your ticket price

If an event is not postponed but cancelled completely, you will be offered a full refund.

Peak Outdoor Community cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs you've incurred, including travel, accommodation or other expenses booked independently.

Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for:

  • ensuring they are physically able to complete the advertised activity

  • bringing suitable clothing, footwear and equipment

  • informing us of any relevant medical conditions before the event.

Our leaders reserve the right to refuse participation or ask someone to leave an event if their behaviour, equipment or physical condition presents a risk to themselves or the group.

No refund will be given in these circumstances.

Conduct

We are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment.

We ask all participants to treat fellow members, leaders and members of the public with kindness and respect throughout every event.

Photography

Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during events for use on our website and social media.

If you'd prefer not to appear in photographs, simply let your leader know before the event.

Bespoke Courses

Bespoke bookings may be cancelled or postponed free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking may still be charged in full.

Members remain responsible for ensuring they have suitable clothing, equipment and fitness for any event they book.

Peak Outdoor Community operates in accordance with its event-specific Terms & Conditions and risk management procedures.

11. Fair Use of Membership

Membership is intended to encourage active participation within the Peak Outdoor Community. If a member repeatedly books free events and fails to attend or cancels outside the published cancellation period, Peak Outdoor Community reserves the right to restrict access to future free member bookings or suspend membership benefits. This helps ensure places remain available for members who wish to attend.

Founding Member Promise

Members who join during the Founding Membership launch period and maintain an active membership will be recognised as Founding Members of Peak Outdoor Community. As a thank you for supporting us from the very beginning, you'll continue to receive your Founding Member pricing for a minimum of 6 months as long as the subscription remains active.
