Adventure is Better Together

Peak Outdoor Community was created to help women find adventure, build confidence and, most importantly, find their people.

Whether you're completely new to hiking, want to learn how to read a map, or simply love spending time outdoors with like-minded women, this is a place where everyone is welcome.

We believe that the outdoors should be accessible, supportive and fun. We slow down and really take in our surroundings; learning some history, geology, flora and fauna along the way. Shared adventures, new experiences and plenty of laughter along the way.

How It All Started

Hi, I'm Emily 👋 I've loved being outdoors since I was a child, but it wasn't until 2019 that I headed out on my first solo adventure when I was grieving the loss of my dad.

What started as a way to clear my head quickly became a passion. In 2020, I taught myself the basics of navigation (with plenty of help from YouTube!) and, after getting lost more than once, I realised it was time to do things properly.

I began working towards my Hill and Moorland Leader qualification with Mountain Training and qualified in 2022. Since then, I've had the privilege of leading hundreds of women on walks and adventures, and nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone discover what they're capable of.

Why Does POC Exist?

Over the years, I've realised that women often come along for a walk, but they stay because of the friendships, confidence and sense of belonging they find along the way.

Peak Outdoor Community isn't just about reaching summits, it's about sharing flasks of tea, celebrating small victories, learning new skills and creating memories together.

It's about finding adventure and finding your people.
